MASTERPIECE on PBS announced a delightful double premiere for the period dramas – plus first-look images and plot descriptions.

Fans of British period dramas are in for a treat as MASTERPIECE on PBS unveiled exciting news for the upcoming winter season. PBS recently announced the release dates and shared teasing first-look images for the highly anticipated fourth seasons of Miss Scarlet and the Duke and All Creatures Great and Small.

The beloved British dramas will grace our screens in January 2024, promising to captivate audiences once again with their entertaining and romantic stories.

Miss Scarlet and the Duke Season 4 Release Date

On Sunday, January 7, 2024, the two dramas will return for their fourth seasons. Miss Scarlet and the Duke is up first, premiering at 8/7c on PBS’ MASTERPIECE.

Immediately following the premiere of Miss Scarlet and the Duke is All Creatures Great and Small at 9/8c on PBS on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Both shows will be available to stream on the PBS app and the PBS Masterpiece Amazon Channel.

Official Description: 

In the new season of Miss Scarlet and The Duke, Eliza (Kate Phillips) has taken over the business of Nash & Sons (not that he has any sons) and things are not going entirely smoothly, although help comes from some familiar sources.

Outside of work, her relationship with William (“the Duke,” Stuart Martin) builds towards a looming decision that will shape both their lives.

It sounds like more romance is on the horizon for Miss Scarlet and William! Plus, there is a continuing focus on gender roles, professional aspirations, tension, and excitement.

Official Description: 

Returning to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, the fourth season of All Creatures Great and Small continues with timeless tales and heart-warming stories, picking up in springtime of 1940 with change on the horizon for everyone in Skeldale House.

James and Helen wonder when the right time might be to start a family, not knowing whether or not James will be called up to serve in the RAF.

Tristan’s absence is felt by all, but no one more than Siegfried who attempts to hold the growing household, and himself, together as he braves this new world.

Mrs. Hall and Helen’s friendship blossoms as they look to the future and new trainee veterinary student Richard Carmody arrives, causing complications in the house.

All Creatures Great and Small promises more heartwarming stories from a bygone era. It will be sad without Tristan, but the new character sounds intriguing!

  1. So excited for Miss Scarlet and the Duke! It’s my escape show, and full of so much fun and edge-of-your-seat tension! I haven’t watched All Creatures, but it’s on my list. (My ever growing list. haha) Thank you so much!
