If you watched the Hallmark Channel last weekend, you likely made a trip to Rome with the first of their ‘Summer Nights’ premieres, Rome in Love. This weekend, they continue their lineup of summertime romances with another fun one to be thankful for. And today, we share with you the entire upcoming Hallmark Channel schedule for August 2019!
RELATED | 15 FAVORITE HALLMARK ROMANCES, PART 2 – MORE ROMANCE TO ENJOY!
Below, we take a look at the remaining five 2019 Summer Nights’ romances, update you on their much-anticipated romance In the Key of Love, and as always, finish with the return of their mysteries (and the return of a certain favorite sleuth)!
Hallmark Channel Schedule: August 2019 Romances
(remember, premiere dates or titles are subject to change. check local listings for details.)
1: Love and Sunshine – August 3
After a broken engagement, Ally (played by Danica McKellar) focuses her attention on caring for a military dog named Sunshine. But when her partner returns from deployment, the two will discover Sunshine may have a matchmaking scheme in mind. I love that this one is going to be a military romance.
2: A Taste of Summer – August 10
If your summer binge-watching includes ABC’s Grand Hotel, you’ll likely enjoy this film about a city girl (Roselyn Sanchez) who moves to a small town to open a restaurant, only to compete with a single father restaurateur (Eric Winter). What makes this one even more fun is that its lead stars are married in real life!
Hallmark Channel Schedule UPDATE: In the Key of Love – August 11
Originally part of Hallmark’s ‘June Weddings,’ then delayed until July, we know where and how you can finally see In the Key of Love. It will premiere on Hallmark’s exclusive streaming service Hallmark Movies Now on August 11. You can learn more about the service through their website.
3: A Summer Romance – August 17
A family ranch becomes of interest to a big city developer as does its beautiful owner. When Calls the Heart leading lady Erin Krakow co-stars alongside Ryan Paevey.
4: All Summer Long – August 24
Based on a novel by Melody Carlson (also called All Summer Long), Autumn Reeser and Brennan Elliott team up in this one about a woman left a yacht and the dreams she has for opening a restaurant on it.
5: Chesapeake Shores (TV Show) – August 25
I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally see the return of this TV show to the Hallmark Channel schedule. The beloved generational family drama finally returns at the end of August.
Unresolved stories will likely be addressed along with some new ones (will there be a wedding?), and undoubtedly, the romantic status of Abby and Trace will get plenty of screen time.
6: My One and Only – August 31
Sam Page and another When Calls the Heart actress, Pascale Hutton will team up in this final ‘Summer Nights’ romance.
Hallmark Movies and Mysteries – August 2019 Premieres
If drama is more your thing, you’ve found the key to unlock a good mystery. Hallmark has a sister network all about solving a good whodunit! This month is all about new Aurora Teagarden mysteries!
Candace Cameron Bure returns as the curious librarian turned amateur detective; you’ll also be able to find the first premiere, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A Game of Cat and Mouse on both networks, so check the Hallmark Channel schedule, too!
- Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A Game of Cat and Mouse – August 4
- Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: An Inheritance to Die For – August 11
- And Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A Very Foul Play – August 18
Plus! A new addition to the Hallmark Channel schedule, don’t miss the return of Allison Sweeney in a new ‘Chronicle Mystery.’
- Chronicle Mysteries: The Deep End – August 25

When will “A Taste of Summer show again?
Hi, Theresa! Unfortunately, at this time, Hallmark doesn’t have this one on the schedule. But check Hallmark or you listing for the most up to date air dates. 🙂
Please list the filming locations for all the movies. The stettings are so lovely and I want to visit the charming towns where Hallmark movies are filmed. How about a Hallmark locations tour???
Good idea for an article. 🙂
Aren’t some of these settings pretty!?! Most, but not all, of the Hallmark romances are filmed in Canada, Christine. 🙂
I need to know the name of a Christmas movie that aired recently maybe 2 weeks ago on HM , the pilot female star moved into a rustic place where there was snow all over. she moved temporarily from a big city in hopes of selling the rustic place. The handyman lived next to the lodge in a small place and drove a motorcycle! they had 2 adult deer that kept going to the nearby airfield, looking over the fence, at something! The lady pilot was charged a fee due to the deer being there more than once! Then the in loved couple (by this time) realized there was another deer on the other side of fence. They end up with the 3rd deer on their farm and lived happy ever after.
The movie you describe is called “Northern Lights of Christmas,” and has Ashley Williams as the pilot, Marian. Hope that’s helpful. 🙂
Aside from playing Elizabeth on “WCTH,” Krakow most recently starred in Hallmark’s 2018 movie, “Marrying Father Christmas,” which was the third installment in the franchise.
