Modern Romanticism

We define Modern Romanticism as a storytelling movement (from 1900 to today) deeply influenced by the Medieval and Romantic Eras. Here, we explore stories of the imagination: fantasy, folklore, fairy tales, and gothic romance, alongside romanticized period dramas and tales of nature, idealism, and nostalgia.

Modern Romanticism focuses on the style of Romanticism, emphasizing individuality, emotion, elevated language, and the supernatural, rather than just the romance genre alone.
