Hallmark Spring Fling
Ah, spring! It’s invading my corner of the world whether I’m ready for it or not. From the greening of the grass to the unseasonably warm temperatures (all of which have confused my poor tulips), the new season is here.

With this new season, one that usually signifies renewal and new beginnings, the “Heart of TV” network is again ready to charm us with four new original films. I am, of course, referring to the Hallmark Channel. Beginning this Saturday, April first, they have invited us to prepare to settle in on Saturday night (with a bowl of popcorn and cozy pajamas, what better girl’s night in is there?) and discover their all-new romantic comedies premiering as part of their Hallmark Spring Fling campaign. Some of which will feature some familiar faces (from both Hallmark and the larger entertainment industry). Below I take a look at these four premieres.
Previewing Hallmark Channel’s 2017 Spring Fling Programs
(Sorted by Premiere Date)
#1 Love at First Bark – April 1st
Country singer (and former Dancing with the Stars contestant) stars in a story about a woman who adopts a dog only to find she needs the assistance of a handsome dog trainer (who may be the perfect man).
#2 Moonlight in Vermont – April 8th
Here’s a bit of trivia for you: this film (also known as Curveball or Curveball Christmas) is rumored to have been a part of the Hallmark Christmas campaign. If true, I wonder what the sets will look like? Either way, it looks like a cutie! Lacey Chabert stars.
#3 Like Cats and Dogs – April 15th
Cassidy Gifford (Kathy Lee Gifford’s daughter) and Wyatt Nash (from Hallmark’s Karen Kingsbury duo, The Bridge) co-star in this romance. It’s a story that gives us a (surprisingly) younger pair to swoon over. Not only will this be a refreshing change, but the story (one a cat person, the other a dog lover setting the tone for an “opposites attract” theme) sounds cute!
#4 The Perfect Catch – April 22nd
This perfect-for-spring-title reunites Andrew Walker (a frequent Hallmark leading man!) with Nikki Deloach from the Christmas film A Dream of Christmas. Previously known as Safe at Home, this one is about a former baseball star and the small town girl he left behind.
Which of these are you most excited to see on the Hallmark Spring Fling? Are there any actors you’re looking forward to seeing in these? Sound off below – and leave your recommendations for best springtime romantic comedies. I’m always looking for a new romcom to laugh over. Sound off below with your thoughts.
