It’s November. And for the past 15 years, the month has become increasingly synonymous with men’s whiskered facial growth. Since 2003, the Movember Foundation has set focus on men’s health, encouraging men to “gro a mo” for the month, setting men’s health issues onto a global stage and encouraging donations.
The Movember Foundation has funded more than 1,200 men’s health initiatives around the globe, increasing awareness of the health issues affecting men, namely, prostate and testicular cancers, as well as mental health.
You can read about the movement and its work here.
So, to support the movement and to celebrate men in all their whiskered glory, I’ve decided to highlight some fine stubbled men from film/TV. I’m collecting all the facial growth under the heading of ‘Staches, but there are full-growth beards, five o’clock shadows, long sideburns, goatees, and, yes, many moustaches in many forms.
So, here it is: a very incomplete list of whiskered growth on some fine actors from some fine shows. Thirty ‘staches for every day in November. A mo a day to keep the doctor away, as it were.
Just because.
