As I’m sure you’ve noticed, we here at The Silver Petticoat Review are fans of the Hallmark’s original series and films, particularly at Christmas. But Hallmark is no longer the only channel producing quality holiday films. In recent years, several other stations have been debuting original movies and giving Hallmark some real competition.
One of these is Lifetime. In the past couple of years, I have found several new favorites among their Christmas films. Some of these include Love at the Christmas Table, Heaven Sent, The Spirit of Christmas and Mississippi Christmas among others.
This year, Lifetime is upping their game by premiering 23 holiday movies on its’ channel. Many are original and new Lifetime productions while others are newly acquired films (some from the past) rounding out that number. Plus, as a bonus, Lifetime’s premiering a holiday reunion with the cast of One Tree Hill, several of whom are also appearing in Christmas movies airing on the channel.
The first of these films airs Thanksgiving week. But if you aren’t able to catch them all because of a busy holiday schedule, don’t worry. Lifetime will be re-playing them on Mondays and Tuesdays through December 23.
So clear some space in your DVR and settle in with a warm blanket and hot cocoa for Christmas with Lifetime this season.
