Summer is here! With it arrives the blazing sun, and in many parts of the world, the dreaded humidity. Still, there are many upsides to this new season. A few of these are glasses of lemonade, a cool fan, and Hallmark Channel. This is why during these long summertime months a night in with Hallmark’s Summer Nights is an ideal way to spend one of those hot and humid nights.

Although I’ll admit I say this about each of Hallmark’s new lineups, I think this year’s summer nights looks like their best yet. One of the reasons I’m of this opinion? The locations! Most, if not all of their summer night programs filmed on location. This lends authenticity to the background of the story. We might not often think of the locale as important, but it is. It’s this that helps to set the stage for any good story. Plus with the sandy beaches and deep green palm trees, it allows us to escape to a summer paradise, even if only for a couple of hours.
Below you’ll discover five all-new romantic originals set to take us on adventures under the bright summer sun. Let’s take a look.
Hallmark’s Summer Nights 2018 – Love & Fun in the Sun!

1: Love on Safari
Premieres July 28 (check local listings for time)
Filmed on location in South Africa, Lacey Chabert (a Hallmark favorite) leads the cast in this adventurous romantic-comedy. Lacey plays a woman who inherits a wildlife preserve, only to arrive and discover they are in financial trouble.
2: A Summer to Remember
Premieres August 4 (check local listings for time)
A busy, widowed ER doctor takes a much-needed vacation where she meets two equally charming men; one a surgeon, the other the owner of the Fiji resort where she’s staying. Cameron Mathison and Catherine Bell team up (for the first time) in this romantic comedy.
Bonus! Chesapeake Shores, Season Three

The third season of the family drama returns August 5 during Hallmark’s Summer Nights. Needless to say, I’m one excited fan – and this is without question my favorite original Hallmark series. The only thing I’m on the fence about is the back-and-forth romance between Abby and Trace. Suffice to say, theirs is a romance I want to see “settled” – preferably with each other and happy! The images show them as being pretty cozy which makes my fangirl heart happy. Meghan Ory (Once Upon a Time) and Jesse Metcalfe co-star alongside Treat Williams.
3: Love at Sea
Premieres August 12 (check local listings for time)
Real-life married couple Carlos PenaVega and wife, Alexa PenaVega (former child star from the Spy Kids series) re-team for this rom-com (which sounds adorable!). Alexa plays Olivia, a type-A perfectionist and event planner who’s determined the “at sea” lifestyle series she’s working on has smooth sailing. Carlos plays the director of the cruise hosting this series who, in true rom-com fashion, is the total opposite of Olivia.
4: Pearl in Paradise
Premieres August 18 (check local listings for time)
Kristoffer Polaha and Jill Wagner co-star in this romantic paradise. It will introduce viewers to a novelist who’s tired of the perception women have of him, and a woman attempting to snag a sought-after promotion. Once again, this one is set in the lush, green locale known as Fiji!
5: Season For Love
Premieres August 25 (check local listings for time)
Marc Blucas and Autumn Reeser pair for their first joint Hallmark effort (both have starred in many prior Hallmark originals). This one is a “reunion romance” about high school sweethearts who reunite when Reeser’s small-town-gone-city-girl returns home disillusioned with her life as a chef.
