#1 ARROW: SEASON 6
If you’re behind like I am, then you’ll be excited to know Arrow is coming to Netflix soon! And if you’re a fan of Oliver and Felicity like me, I hear there’s MUCH to be excited about this season…maybe even a wedding! If you haven’t watched Arrow before, you should enjoy this series if you enjoy darker and romantic superhero shows.
Content Note: Rated TV-14
Available on Netflix: May 25
#2 BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA
This lovely adaptation of the beloved children’s novel has a touching story about two pre-teens who create a beautiful fantasy world to escape reality together. Steeped heavily in Romanticism, the film also showcases young, innocent love. Be prepared though, this one’s a tearjerker!
Content Note: PG
Available on Netflix: May 19
#3 THE FLASH: SEASON 4
With an overabundance of superheroes right now, I found myself in superhero burnout and stopped watching. But with the help of Netflix, I plan to catch up to see what’s the latest between Barry and Iris and the rest of the characters. If you haven’t watched this series about the superhero speedster, and you enjoy more light-hearted superhero fare, this is the series for you.
Content Note: TV-PG (usually)
Available on Netflix: May 30
#4 HELLBOY: THE GOLDEN ARMY
With a touch of Beauty and the Beast influence, the subtle love story between Hellboy and Liz kept me intrigued. If you enjoy well-written superhero films with an artistic flair, you should enjoy this sequel.
Content Note: PG-13
Available on Netflix: Today, May 1
#5 THE KISSING BOOTH
Based on a popular YA romance novel written by an actual teen, this one tells the story of a young teen who falls into a romance with her crush. Let’s hope this Netflix original movie turns out to be good!

#6 MAMMA MIA!
This romantic comedy musical is a blast to watch and sing along with. And with an all-star cast including Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and more, as well as catchy songs, it’s not only a must-see but a must-watch on repeat.

While I haven’t seen this one yet, it sounds like a cute romantic comedy TV Movie. So, if you enjoy them, it may be worth checking out.

#10 SLIDING DOORS
I can’t recommend this romantic dramedy enough. Original, emotional, and unabashedly romantic, this thought-provoking film is a must-see. The film shows two parallel stories. One, in which a woman catches a train. The other, when she misses it.
Content Note: PG-13

BONUS: BOMBSHELL: THE HEDY LAMARR STORY
A well-reviewed new biography/documentary about the classic film star. While I haven’t seen it yet, it sounds like a must-see for classic film fans.

Haha I never really thought of Shrek as a romantic movie, but I suppose it kind of is. Bridge to Terabithia is amazing though (amazingly sad) 🙁
