Romantic Moment of the Week: The Silver Petticoat Review’s Most Popular Romantic Moments

In July of 2013, we published our very first Romantic Moment of the Week. The idea of this feature was to celebrate romantic moments in films, books, and television. We wanted to highlight that connection between old-fashioned romance and modern entertainment.

Unsurprisingly, a significant number of modern films and television shows have elements of old-fashioned romance. The original intention was to put the spotlight on moments that occurred during the week. Although, that evolved to include classic romantic moments. Published nearly every Saturday, our goal was to add and encourage a dialogue on romantic moments. We felt it was something missing and something readers would enjoy.

Turns out, we were right! Our first feature was Linden and Holder from The Killing. With nearly 450 shares, it is in the top 15 of popular romantic moments based on page views. Since then, we’ve published over 100 romantic moments, including moments from literature. Each of these moments celebrates what epitomizes old-fashioned romance. They feature the type of romance that steals your breath and makes your heart pound at its sheer beauty. They honor romantic moments built through words, longing looks, and emotional beats. Come celebrate over four years of romantic moments with us!
