One of the most popular holidays is All Hallow’s Eve aka Halloween. From the spooky décor and costumes for the little (and big!) kids to the sugar rush of favorite candy, what’s not to love? Though we haven’t yet crossed October 31st off our calendar, another holiday is just around the corner ready to make its entrance.
Hallmark is ready to inspire us to deck those halls a little early with the start of their beloved “Countdown to Christmas” campaign. With an all-new premiere this weekend (October 28th), and a five-night string of new originals Thanksgiving week, this line up is only the beginning of their 2017 schedule. This is why today we are previewing Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas.
Below, we collect in one tidy list, the 19 new films that span both networks, Hallmark Channel (for lighthearted romances) and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries (emotional, complex dramas). You’re going to spy many a familiar face, some of which you’ll recognize making a Hallmark Channel debut, book adaptations, and of course, plenty of smiles, and mistletoe.

A popular action star hires a wedding planner to plan his sister’s wedding, and sparks fly. This is Hallmark’s first Countdown to Christmas premiere!
#2 Christmas Festival of Ice – November 4, 2017
When an annual ice sculpting competition is threatened with cancellation, a hometown lawyer convinces a talented sculptor to partner with her on saving it.
#3 Miss Christmas – November 5, 2017
Based on a Christmas novella by Gigi Garrett (which is adorable, by the way), the story follows a New Yorker in charge of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Her search for the perfect tree leads to a small town where an eight-year-old boy, and his handsome uncle wait. Marc Blucas (First Daughter) and Brooke D’Orsay (How to Fall in Love) co-star.
#4 The Sweetest Christmas – November 11, 2017
Lacey Chabert returns in a familiar role as a struggling pastry chef who learns she’s landed in a gingerbread house competition!

#5 Enchanted Christmas – November 12, 2017
Former sweethearts and dance partners reunite years later when she returns to her hometown, a widow with a young daughter in tow. Alexa PenaVega and her husband, Carlos PenaVega co-star in this story, which will no doubt use the skills they picked up while competing on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars!
#6 Coming Home for Christmas – November 18, 2017
After being hired as a house manager for an elaborate countryside estate, a young woman is pursued by two men, all while trying to plan the perfect Christmas party. Danica McKellar stars.
#7 A Gift to Remember – November 19, 2017
A “sweet bookshop worker” befriends a handsome stranger who has mysteriously lost his memory. Ali Liebert makes her leading lady debut (after playing the best friend character) on Hallmark. She’s also known for her role in the Canadian series, Bomb Girls.
#8 With Love, Christmas – November 22, 2017
Two competing ad execs try to create the perfect Christmas campaign. Emilie Ullerup of Chesapeake Shores and Aaron O’Connell play the soon-to-be-sweethearts. (Because we all know that’s where things will end).

#9 The Mistletoe Inn – November 23, 2017
Based on a novel by Richard Paul Evans, ‘Mistletoe’ tells the story of an aspiring romance novelist who’s unlucky in love. Alicia Witt stars.
#10 Finding Santa – November 24, 2017
Following in her castmate’s footsteps, Jodie Sweetin (Fuller House) makes her Hallmark debut. She plays a woman desperate to find a replacement for Santa in an annual parade. A road trip also plays into the plot.
#11 The Christmas Train – November 25, 2017
This Hallmark Hall of Fame installment is about a journalist who embarks on a cross-country train trip. It features an all-star cast, including Kimberley Williams-Paisley (Father of the Bride), Danny Glover, Dermot Mulroney and Joan Cusack.
#12 Switched for Christmas – November 26, 2017
Viewer favorite and Fuller House star, Candace Cameron-Bure returns to the network with this cute comedy in which she plays twin sisters. Sounds like a fun story unlike anything Hallmark has ever done. The production co-stars Bure’s daughter, Natasha Bure.
So many great Christmas movies to pick from. I love anything with Autumn Reeser and am excited to see Brooke D’Orsay in a holiday movie. Michael Rady is a favorite too thanks to Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants AND Emily Owens MD.

Me too. I like Autumn as an actress, and of course, Brooke. She’s one of THE best “Royal Pains” characters – and in fact, may be my favorite. I loved Michael in “Emily Owens,” but ALWAYS forget he was also in ‘Sisterhood.’ This reminds me… a re-watch of those may be in order. 🙂
