Most Convoluted Story Arc

Clara and the Doctor hybrid arc that didn’t actually make any sense in Doctor Who.

The Doctor ran because he was afraid of a vague prophecy that could mean he was a hybrid looking over the ruins of Gallifrey (though why he believed the prophecy was about himself we couldn’t tell you). Meanwhile, Missy aka the Master, hand-picked Clara to be a companion because she somehow knew how reckless Clara would become and that the Doctor would “probably” become obsessed with her which would eventually lead to the Doctor and Clara making dangerous decisions which would then “probably” lead to Clara’s death, which leads up to Clara and the Doctor “maybe” becoming the hybrid (though that technically makes ZERO sense because two people can’t be a hybrid).

Most Annoying New Trend

Breaking up the most popular couples for no reason whatsoever other than to create CONTRIVED drama.

  1. Ahh! So many favorites. Love all of the teen flicks listed, ‘Man from U.N.C.L.E.,’ ‘Far from the Madding Crowd,’ ‘Hawaii Five-O,’ ‘Poldark,’ ‘Downton Abbey,’ S.H.I.E.L.D., ‘Arrow,’ Miss Fisher, ‘Call the Midwife,’ and so many more! Also, I agree that ‘Blindspot’ has a very promising new couple, and BOO to the break up of the Castle’s. I’m watching the season before the current and even married, they are so cute together – there’s plenty of fun and flirty banter still. Having them married makes it all the more entertaining I think.

    • There was definitely a lot of great films and shows this year! And I don’t really understand this new breaking up couples trend. I’m more upset by Scully and Mulder for the new X-Files since I don’t watch Castle. But that plot has been happening more frequently and I truly don’t get it. Creatively, it just doesn’t feel true to the stories.

  2. Great choices! Of COURSE Peggy and Jarvis are the best crime fighting duo. I love them together, and iZombie is a fantastic show. This reminds me that I have to see “Far From the Madding Crowd”. I didn’t get it as a Christmas gift, so it looks like I’ll be buying it myself. I thought I was the only person who thought Jupiter Ascending was enjoyable despite its faults. 🙂

    • Thanks! And of course. 🙂 I LOVE them! Yeah, I think Jupiter Ascending had an unfair attack on it. The film is not that bad. It’s really quite entertaining despite some of the flaws.

  3. Whew! What a list!
Thanks for an wonderful blog filled with splendid tv/movie suggestions. Keep up the awesome work! ^^
