Not only does he hunt them down, but he settles a fine sum on Lydia…..all to ease Elizabeth’s pain. As he said, he thought only of her. This romantic moment is so memorable as it’s one of the few times we see Darcy so vulnerable.
2. John Thornton Cherishes Margaret
You didn’t think I was going to let another chance to swoon over John Thornton’s adoration of Margaret slip by, did you? This memorable romantic moment simply lifts to new heights when John cradles Margaret’s face during their first kiss. Such a delicate, infinitely tender moment! Swoon.
3. Captain America Asks for a Raincheck
Romantic moments in Marvel movies are few and far between. Moreover, Steve Rogers has very (VERY) few moments. Yet, this romantic memorable moment, as he crashes a plane into the water to save New York, is one of his finer moments. The way he speaks to Peggy, the cadence of his voice…..*le sigh.* I found myself believing he would show up at the dance hall.
4. Sense and Sensibility – The Piano
Colonel Brandon wasn’t physically present during this scene; however, he was definitely present. Despite her wild, first love with Willoughby, Marianne found true love with Colonel Brandon. He wore his heart on his sleeve and his only thought was always to bring her joy. His gift of a piano was one of the memorable romantic moments of the film!
5. Roman Holiday – The Story of a Lifetime
When Joe meets the runaway Princess Ann, his focus is on the story. By the time Ann returns home, Joe realizes he found the love of a lifetime. When Joe sacrifices the scoop of a lifetime to protect Princess Ann….well, hand me a Kleenex or two.
6. A Walk to Remember – A Telescope, Comet, and Proposal
This romantic moment is one that never fails to me. First, Landon builds Jamie a telescope so she can see the comet. Then, he proposes right on the heels of that gift. Right in the feels, Landon. Right. In. The. Feels.

Jack’s quiet intensity in this scene is swoon-worthy. He doesn’t need fancy words or gifts. He just lays his heart at Rebecca’s feet. Hand me a tissue, please.
